The NEW era

Cardiff City 1 - 5 Manchester United (FT)

Manchester United put 5 past Cardiff city as they scored 5 goals in a match for the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement. The scorers were Rashford, Herrera, Martial and Jesse Lingard. It was a fantastic evening and it all started with Marcus Rashford scoring cleverly from a free-kick before Ander Herrera struck the ball marvelously from 30 yards out to put it in the back of the net. But Camarasa scored from a penalty kick for Cardiff. And then it was Anthony Martial who started off the attack before finishing it off himself. That was the end of the first-half.

Then Jesse Lingard scored from a penalty kick after being fouled while making an excellent dribble. He scored again towards the end of the game after receiving a wonderful through ball from Pogba. All in all, it was a fantastic night out for Manchester United.

This was a fantastic start to the new era and certainly lightened the mood after a rough patch of games for United under Jose Mourinho. But does this mean Manchester United will regain consistency, we'll find out on Wednesday when they host Huddersfield Town.
